The European Lightweight Cluster Alliance (ELCA) is a collaborative initiative of European industries and research institutions that aim to catalyse research in and production of lightweight and emerging materials to promote resource efficiency and sustainability in the manufacturing sector. As such, ELCA is a network of 14 centres of excellence spread across 11 EU member states. This network includes over 1,400 SMEs, large-scale enterprises and research institutions that are championing European leadership in this exciting new field

While ELCA’s focus lies primarily in the mobility sector, they are also interested in applications of lightweight materials in the including energy, health care, defence and construction. At this time, ELCA is interested in introducing its focus areas, members and work in the automotive and aerospace sectors to relevant stakeholders from Indian industry and research institutions.

Bearing this in mind, we are pleased to invite you to participate in this Digital Mission and share your thoughts on the applications of lightweight materials to this sector in India.
