ISCC participated in an event organized by the Embassies of the Member states of the European Union in India
The Embassies of the Member States of the European Union in India have approved a structure for the creation of a European Union Chamber of Commerce in India which will be called the European Business Representation in India (EBRI). The EBRI is to play a relevant role in the negotiations of the Free Trade, Investment Protection and Geographical Indications Protection Agreements between the EU and India that started on Monday 27 June, by establishing the position of European business in India as an input for the negotiations.
Lucía Paternina, Chief Economic and Commercial Counsellor explained all the key points of the EBRI structure: membership, activities, mission, governance and the future impact on the FTA negotiations. Óscar Esteban, President of the Indo Spanish Chamber of Commerce (ISCC) explained the role that ISCC will play in the EBRI.
